Genesis Ultima, Latin for "Ultimate Beginning," is the name given to the hypothetical beginning of not just reality and eternity, but of all realities and eternities.

The question of whether there was an "ultimate beginning" is considered a Verum Ex Logica problem with Doctrina Ultra suggesting such a beginning is logically unlikely given that if there were one, you should rationally expect there to have been more than one.

No Beginning?

The universe in which we reside is rationally understood to have come into existence somehow. So, why is there something rather than nothing?

Most likely, some fundamental interplay at the core of reality is the true wellspring from which universes emerge.

As opposed to the universe resulting as "something from nothing" such as with Aristotle's philosophical idea of an unmoved mover, it is assumed here to be more rational that we have a universe generated from an underlying interplay similar to virtual particles.

With virtual particles, one could think of a +1 and a -1 arising from the void and annihilating like quantum fluctuations in the vacuum of space. Such an interplay would not require an input to get outputs, but rather the output and input would both be zero with the universe and its negative existing between while always still totaling zero.

Such a hypothetical explanation for the origin of our universe is explored in the Zero-Energy Universe.
