Via, Latin for "Path," is the term Infinists use to address the eternal path.

Why Pray?

Infinists may pray or meditate to Via to provide peace, voice desires for one's own path, or ask for greater understanding about the Infinite Journey and one's place in it.

Is Via God?

In many ways, Infinists view Via like a non-anthropomorphic diety. Events will continue to eternally unfold along one's path and any event could be any degree of happy or tragic.

Nothing can stop one's path from unfolding: Via is eternal. However, what lies next along one's path is unknown and comfort may be sought by praying to Via.

Examples

It could be as simple as a person with Sleep Paralysis praying for it to end.

It could be a person who has been diagnosed with cancer and prays for the best road ahead: not just for them, but for everyone as all will eventually be where they are.

And if it must be one's turn for a bad road, they may pray for the strength to endure or that their ephemeral suffering is rewarded by waking to the New Heaven.

They may ask that only this tentum be theirs to bare now, and that they awaken free from pain and suffering.
